In July 2009, I accepted the opportunity to join an incredible team of innovative, intelligent, and amazing writers when I began writing kids and parenting columns at Simple Mom. If you are familiar with my fellow columnists, you can see why I still feel a little ridiculously underqualified to be asked to do this! But Tsh is kind and gracious and just all-around-wonderful and she lets me stay on anyway.
So, here's the thing. I'm following the lead of my editor at Simple Organic - Katie - who a few weeks ago asked the Simple Organic audience what topics they might like to see covered over there.
You all are a tremendous resource to me, offering a wealth of information on a vast array of topics. I need to pick your collective brain. (or brains? not sure which way to go here)
What might you like to see in upcoming kids and parenting columns at Simple Mom? As you can see when you look through my past columns, I've written pretty extensively on the matter of gifts and celebrations as well as thoughts on positive approaches to parenting. Articles written by Tsh and other guest writers in the Kids category have covered topics ranging from children's literature to adoption to talking to kids about sex with tons of great conversations all over the parenting spectrum.
If the underlying philosophy behind Simple Mom is "live simply, stay sane," as well as the thought that "when mom is doing well, the whole family thrives," and the vibe there is consistently helpful, uplifting, encouraging, and practical - well, what do you think? What topics should I undertake next?
Thank you, thank you for sharing your insights with me!
