As the mother of two girls and as a woman who has had long(ish) hair since I was in college, I have to confess that I have a thing for hair stuff.
Clearly, I like to wear my hair up and when I do, it's always nice to have a little added something to pop into my hair. Dacey likes to wear her hair pretty simply - either pushed back in a headband or pulled into a low ponytail. Aliza Joy, on the other hand, holy wow. The hairstyles that girl comes up with! Of the three of us, she is absolutely the most into hair stuff.
When Paula Miller, a consultant for Lilla Rose, contacted me about partnering with SortaCrunchy as well as doing a review and giveaway here, I jumped at the chance. I've gotten to review lots of products through my six years of blogging, but I haven't gotten to do much in the realm of clothing or hair accessories.
Paula offered to send me one of Lilla Rose's most popular products - the Flexi Clip. I went to her site and watched the sizing video to get a good idea of what kind of clip I might like. After getting lost in the sparkly pretties in the online catalog for about half an hour, I finally decided on the Medium Hawaiian Flower Multi.
When it arrived in the mail, AJ and I had so much fun playing with it! Her hair is so fine, I used the Flexi Clip to add some fanciness to her normal ponytail. I can pull Dacey's rather thick hair into a ponytail using just the Flexi Clip, but she is so active and very particular (very) about how secure her ponytail feels that I've just been clipping the clip over a banded ponytail for her, too.
For me, however, I like to pull it into a twist. I wore my hair in a twist with a plastic clip every day for years, but eventually got tired of it. I do miss wearing twists and the Flexi Clip is a really pretty and feminine way to wear my hair that way again.
Here's some more about Flexi Clips (and read to the bottom for a giveaway!)
Lilla Rose has lots of other pretty pretties including bobby pins (LOVE!):
and hair sticks which I totally think I'll order next:
They also have earrings and all kinds of other beautiful (and affordable) things.
As I said, the beautiful and generous Paula wanted to sponsor a giveaway along with her monthly sponsorship here at SortaCrunchy. One of YOU will win a Flexi Clip!
It's so, so easy to enter. Just go to Paula's site and look through the Lilla Rose products. Leave ONE comment telling which is your favorite (or favorites, if you are like me).
That's it to be entered! To gather some bonus entries, you could:
1) Like Paula's Lilla Rose Facebook page
2) Tweet about this giveaway (make sure to include @sortacrunchy so I can count it!)
3) Watch the sizing video and tell which of the hairstyles you like best
Each BONUS item is worth one entry and you must leave one separate comment for each entry.
Giveaway ends April 14th. Open to U.S. residents only.
Happy shopping, and thank you again, Paula!
