Beautiful, sweet April. Here we are, officially at the end.
What I'm Into :: April 2012
On My Nightstand - I just received and am so far enjoying Rhett Smith's The Anxious Christian: Can God Use Your Anxiety for Good?. Actually, I didn't know how much I needed this book until I started reading.
I'm also reading lots of e-books. More to say on this later!
Want to Read: I feel like I probably need to revisit Gatsby this week. It's time, you know.
T.V. Worth Watching: I can't deal with the thought that the Once Upon a Time season is almost over. Now I remember why I rarely watch shows while they are running! Painful wait times between seasons!
We've burned through a lot of series on Netflix, some we had never heard of and would not have discovered otherwise. We're just about to wrap up The Chicago Code which is pretty awesome. And of course it got cancelled after one season. You know why? Because that's what FOX does. Runs great shows for one season (FIREFLY!) and cans them so they can still have space for shows that should have been put down long ago (I'm looking at you, American Idol).
Oh, also: I was having a hard time falling asleep the other night (see: The Anxious Christian), and I stumbled across Gossip Girl on Netflix. Stayed up WAY TOO LATE watching the first few episodes. I'll be spending free time with Serena on the UES for a while, I'm afraid. Because I am unfathomably deep. Clearly.
Movies I've Seen (in or out of the theater): Meh. Bleh. No. Nothing worth mentioning.
In My Kitchen: This is incredibly NOT LOW CARB, but I have to tell you I've been making Tsh's recipe for Dutch Babies for four years and it never, ever disappoints.
I gotta get back on the low-carb train, though. My blood sugar is craaaaazy jacked-up.
In My Ears: Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" and fun.'s "Some Nights" are on heavy repeat. And okay, yes, "Call Me Maybe." Apparently, I am entering a Pop Music Phase. (Summer, is that you?)
What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month: Y'all. I have something really big to share. But I can't yet. (I AM NOT PREGNANT.) Very, veryyyyyy soon. Promise.
Gosh, I just love April. The 2012 incarnation of it has not disappointed.
I would love to know - what are YOU into this month?
