This week was relatively uneventful, which actually has been pretty wonderful.
OBVIOUSLY the belly has popped on out. Earlier this week, I was picking Dacey up after school and she said, "MOM! I didn't recognize you with that belly! I wouldn't have known it was you if I hadn't seen Aliza standing with you!" So basically, I'm unrecognizable even to my own children now.
This week marked the first time a stranger asked about the belly. A clerk at the shoe store asked if we are having a boy or girl, and so for the first time I got to tell a complete stranger, "TWINS!" I am confident the novelty of that will wear off shortly, but for now, it was fun.
After all of my gritching and complaining last week about maternity clothes, a friend of mine messaged me on Facebook and offered to loan me some of hers. I've known Kyla since middle school but hadn't seen her since the 8th grade! It was so fun to catch up over breakfast and then she loaded me up with two bags of clothes. I got home and discovered they were all exactly my taste! What a huge, huge blessing that has been.
My apologies for such a boring update. I'm actually out of town at the moment, a last trip just for Mama before the whirlwind begins. We are marking off the calendar days until Oct. 5th when we hope/pray/plan to find out what these little twinkies are - baby brothers or baby sisters!
Any guesses? I have my own thoughts, but we'll see in a little less than 3 weeks!
