"So tonight what we'll do is make sure she's up every hour. I'll take the first shift, but you gotta be on after 2. Okay? Remember, no more than 60 minutes of sleep at a time. Let's see what happens!"
They did it, too, those turkeys. Mack and John Kyle decided to celebrate turning six months old by pulling an all-nighter Wednesday night/Thursday morning. I was zonked out in bed last night before 8:00 (which was kind of wonderful) (also: self-care FOR REAL).
I'm working on a little post about the babies turning six months, but I keep getting distracted by all of the Montessori reading I've been doing. I love, love, love to read about things, and I am finding the Montessori approach to be so engaging. Of course, I don't know how much will be feasible to apply in real life at home, but all the reading and all the daydreaming and all the plan making has crowded out blogging time.
I did want to mention that I'm over at Simple Mom talking about molting as a mama. Molting. It's such a ... descriptive word. Join me over there?
If you need me, I'll be cozied up with some Montessori blog, starry-eyed and happy-hearted.
Thanks for following along as I challenge myself to A Month for Mama and much-needed self care.
