But here we are on Sunday again, and I have quite a few links to share over brunch this week, so get comfy!
Unfolding the newspaper
The only news story I caught last week was one that took me to my knees. Literally. I sobbed when I heard of the murder of beautiful ten year old Hailey. My heart shatters thinking of her parents, her family, and her community: Hailey Owens remembered in Springfield and around the world
Things to think about
"But I have figured out one thing in this past year of counseling and life and delving deep into past to discover some foundation core beliefs that are throwing me off. I have figured out what Mental Health is not. I always thought that mentally healthy people, people upon whom doctors would never dream of handing a Rx for antidepressants must ooze sanity, logical thought and even keeled temperaments. But that’s not mental health… and that’s not humanity." -- What Mental Health Isn't, Leanne Penny
"Even still, we ignore it all when we hijack the word “blessed” to make it fit neatly into our modern American ideals, creating a cosmic lottery where every sincere prayer buys us another scratch-off ticket. It’s all a matter of our free will. Our choice. And God’s." -- The One Thing Christians Should Stop Saying, The Accidental Missionary

Tomorrow, I'm (nervously) (hesitantly) sharing some thoughts on Lent and offering an invitation for you to join me in it this year.
