And that's where I am today, ten days from the conclusion of Lent. I absolutely hate to whine about it, but the headaches I've been having have knocked me back a bit too far to stay on top of everything, and several other unforeseen circumstances have derailed my plans.
And so today, all I have to offer to you is this reminder from Pope Francis, especially pertinent for anyone feeling the weight of your Lenten commitments today, as the end of this season seems impossibly far even while we know it is ever closer. In the midst of our journey today, may we all ask Christ to reawaken us from our routines and our boredom, and may our eyes be opened to what He has in mind for us today as we join Him in the work of the Kingdom:

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” -- Matthew 11:28-30
